Unlocking new realms in Disney Dreamlight Valley brings beloved animated characters directly into your digital community. The Pride of the Valley update introduces players to the Lion King Realm, where you will immediately begin the Eyes in the Dark quest. Fulfilling this storyline is the essential path to bringing Nala back to your valley village.
Entering the Lion King Realm and Finding Nala
Your journey begins inside the Dream Castle, where you must locate the locked door adorned with the Lion King insignia. Removing the Night Thorns blocking the portal requires an investment of 10,000 Dreamlight points. Once inside the dried-out oasis, approach Nala to initiate the first conversation and kick off the questline.
To protect Nala from the encroaching hyenas, you must find and cultivate five thorn bushes near the ledge. Use your shovel to dig up the dried thorn bushes scattered around the area to gather the necessary seeds. Plant these seeds in the pre-dug holes at the far side of the oasis and water them once to block the path.
Navigating the Jungle Passages to Simba
After securing the oasis, clear the large stone structures blocking the nearby cave entrance using your shovel tool. Venturing deeper into the lush jungle reveals a rushing waterfall blocking access to the next section. Nala will mention that Simba is somewhere nearby, but you need to bridge the river to locate him.
Look closely at the cliff side near the top of the waterfall to spot a raised fallen log. Use your pickaxe to smash the large rock foundations keeping the massive tree trunk elevated out of reach. Breaking these rocks will successfully lower the log, creating a safe pathway to cross over and reunite with Simba.
Catching Bugs and Preparing the Feast
Once Simba and Nala share their joyous reunion, you will notice that the lioness is exhausted and hungry from her long ordeal. Simba suggests feeding her a specialized local delicacy consisting of three distinct types of insects. You will need to gather six colorful bugs, six red bugs, and three slimy bugs to fulfill this request.
Head back to the river and cast your fishing line into the bubbling golden spots to successfully reel in the slimy bugs. Return to the starting oasis area and dig up the sparkling ground patches with your shovel to uncover the colorful bugs. Finally, clear out the large tree stumps in the deeper jungle area to trigger and chase down the fast-moving red bugs.
Repairing the Sound System and Welcoming Nala
Locate the nearby outdoor cooking station to combine the gathered insects into three individual Bug Platters for Nala to eat. While the meal provides temporary comfort, another wave of hyenas quickly surrounds the group, forcing a tactical retreat. You must journey back to your valley to consult Scrooge McDuck for a clever audio distraction device.
Scrooge will provide a broken sound system that requires ten pieces of softwood, five pieces of hardwood, and two iron ingots to repair. Take these ingredients to any standard crafting station to fix the device before returning to the realm to scare away the predators. With the area finally safe, head back to your valley, place Pride Rock down via the furniture menu, and pay Scrooge 15,000 Star Coins to officially welcome Nala home.
